BearBoard is basically a wood-based wall-mounted apparatus with various (interchangeable) massage knobs.  The user can rub up against the BearBoard to massage their own back, much like a bear scratching at a tree.  This concept, born from a need for relief from physical discomfort, without having to make an appointment, is currently in the research phase.  Which materials and shapes are the best - and perhaps more importantly, the safest - for optimum pain relief?  Is it ethical to mass-produce a universal (for all body types) BearBoard or should it be a luxury, handmade, and even custom-made product?  Please feel free to share your thoughts at the bottom of the page, including whether or not you would invest in the further development of BearBoard (for example via crowdfunding).
